I'm having problems getting out the inner tie rod ends out. It seems that the person that owned this car before put in outer ends in the inner positions and I can not get them out. can someone give me a little help here. just need an easy solution to this little issue.

You can use a pickle fork on them.

AZ/Advance also have forks in their loan a tool program. Also a good hit on the SIDE of the rod head will usually get it to pop out as well.

I got one there for 12 bucks about 3 yrs ago and it was great. I helped my hubby with his 3 rebuilds and used it on all three and it was still fine.

Then the reason you're trying to separate tie rod ends with a pickle fork is.........?

I did. The theory is the same regardless of if you used the right parts or the wrong parts. Glad you're sorted out now.

Are you talking about getting them out of the sleeve or the centerlink.

Do you have an air compressor? Do you want to make this an easy job? Do you have about 75 bucks to invest in cheap tools?
1) HF pneumatic hammer gun
2) pickle-fork for above tool. (I got the craftsman combo kit for about 45 bucks)
Those joints will split in about 15 seconds. No worry about smashing your knuckles, swinging a hammer in enclosed spaces, knocking over your beer with said hammer......

I didn't even know there was such a tool. Very cool. Looking around a little I found you can buy an entire front end service kit. Front end suspension stuff has always been problamatic due to difficult dis-assembly. this kit would make it a lot easier.
