I'm replacing my valve seals as the car is burning quite a bit of oil Anything else I should be aware of while in there ?? For those of you that have done this have you noticed a nice improvement as far as the car runing better or better gas mileage ??
I did my son's mitsubishi 3000gt, pain in the **** with his cuzz the valves are so tight, had to make a tool that consisted basically of a spark plug socket cut out to be able to put keepers back in. don't think you will see any difference other than no more puff of smoke. remember to fill in all holes with a rag and send compressed air into each cylinder as you go along.

I replaced the original square o-ring seals on my '77 while doing a cam and spring change in 2011. The puff of blue smoke that would occur after an extended off period has ceased to exist. The seals came out in pieces as the rubber had hardened over time. Thread is here. mike...
I have a '77 with the L-82 and my Valve seals need to be do also. I got a price of $225 bucks from a local shop here in Staten Island NY. I plan on getting it done in the Spring.....
