Its a godawful vibration that can be heard inside the car also. The A4 was replaced last year and charged with r134a. It was always noisy. Its blows cold though but wtf is that noise & vibe. I'm sorry I didn't go with the sanden compressor. Oh yea I never pulled a vac on the line before the change over. It was open for awhile?
I don't know if you have your original clutch style fan, but I just replaced mine with a flex-lite fan. Well, now I get a vibration at about 900-1400 rpms when the A/C is on. Never happen before with the clutch fan. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to switch over to the dual electric fan setup :yesnod:

I was always taught to pull a vac whenever the system was opened up. I don't know if that is causing the vibration, but it will create air pockets to where it won't cool at times.
I do not know if this is your problem but a friend of mine's Camaro vibrated big time when the air was on... Turned out to be a bad plug wire and a broken motor mount.
New plug wires last year and motor mounts (2 1/2 years old). I didn't reinstall the bracket that goes from the compressor to the intake manifold? It seemed sturdy enough without it. Maybe I'll put it on and see what happens.
