It does often increase high-rpm power by 2 or 3 hp. That is what sells products. U would not buy it without the promise of more HP. At the drags, u might win by .001 second. WOO HOO U won!
Crappy on the street, but the SALE was made. Got to keep the economy humming, don't want a recession.
Plus, it sells gears, higher stall, stroker cranks, overdrives, all to deal with the narrow power band, that is worthless off-idle.

The guys with the cut down divider had no idea at the time of purchase. Guys love the looks of the 7501, and just assume it must be better. It costs more, right? So it must be better. NOT. So far, i have not seen or read about a single engine that makes more power sucking in exhaust fumes at light throttle. Guys see dyno tests that show the 7501 makes 2 or 3 more HP at ~6300 rpm and get all excited. Not shown it the loss of 50+torque in ordinary part throttle driving.
I suggest that you watch the video.

No.

You need to find a way to view it.

Why? I've seen dozens of WOT tests.
But i'm ONLY talking about street driving at part throttle.
Simulate climbing a hill in 4th, at 1500 rpm, give it just enough throttle to maintain speed. Compare the two. Which one takes more throttle? Can the open plenum even do it at all?
