Hey everyone, my body off is proceeding nicely, rear ends back on the ground on its own tires. New composite spring, shocks, bushings, por-15, etc. etc... the works.
Getting to the middle of the frame here, although I had dreams to drop in one of the bolt in 5 speeds, financially it won't happen right now. My good old Muncie M22 will go back in.
The question:
Its dirty, what would be the best way to clean off all the road grime and such?

Take it to a DIY carwash and spray it down?
Huge solvent tank?
pressurize wash. Close off the front and rear before you do or wrap plastic over it.
Auto parts store degreaser, scrubb brush, and a hose.
The muncie is vented from the front bearing retainer, so seal the input shaft and bearing retainer to prevent water from getting in. Also seal the output.
If its an aluminum case for which I assume it is, use Eagle 1 mag cleaner for cast aluminum mags. It will have a warning on the bottle saying not to use on clear coat or polished aluminum. It will look like you sand blasted it will little to no work
