Hey guys, I had a miss and a valve tick last summer and found they were related. #6 intake lifter and lobe worn badly. My question is what do you have to take out radiator wise to get the thing out? And a secondary question alluminum intake that will fit under a small block hood with orig air cleaner, performer? Gott a get this thing going warm weather will be here soon, I hope anyway. Thank you
Remove the radiator. If you have air conditioning you should be able to unbolt the condensor and move it out of the way without disconnecting the lines.
Edelbrock Performer should fit. Performer RPM usually doesn't, although there are guys on this forum that report they have installed one with an aftermarket air cleaner and made it work.
after I removed the radiator, I removed the radiator mount top two bolts on both sides and was able to rotate the mount and a/c condenser enough the get the cam swapped
hope this helps
went with the performer also, fits with a 15" oval air cleaner
Performer 2101 or 3701 will fit under hood with stock air cleaner.
I had to unbolt my radiator support and move it toward the engine a few inches to allow the condenser to be rotated up and out of the way (rotated up from driver's side). My hood is on the car.
Kinda confirmed what I was thinking, its a factory air car but it's not on the car right now. So the condenser is there but lines not a problem. Thanks for the replies.
