Here is a video I took of the Jones Exhaust mf1226 which are affectionately known as "Magnaflow knock offs". Magnaflow compression bends the tubing in their mufflers to quiet them down a few decibles, Jones mandrel bends theirs therefore they may be a touch louder than an equivalent Magnaflow.

You will hear some noise due to the rollers and fan of the dyno but if you have headphones you will get an idea of what a straight through design muffler sounds like at WOT with a set of headers and an H pipe from a small block.

Love the sound..I hope my kit from corvette central makes mine sound like this..Its straight pipes back to hide away mufflers..

Here's a couple videos of mine during the Corvette Corral pace lap at Mosport Last year. It's a '78 L-82 headers, straight pipes and Borla Mufflers.


Wish we could have gone faster but what can you do. During the Vintage weekend they let you open it up a bit more.

Ricky, Nice chart man... I'm going to do some reviewing of that..flow charts / grids are cool to see when your dealing with hp numbers especially..Thanks..

Maxco, Awesome opportunity..Very cool..I can tell the upgrage may lean out the system a bit? I heard some popping when you let off? The car sounds great though...It almost gave me a woody !!

I am quite happy with my 2,5" Aerochambers.

When i had my 454 in the dyno i lost 6hp with the exhaust system and Aerochambers compared to headders and collectors only on full rpm.

I can accept that.
