Default differential break in wear

I installed a rebuilt 4.11 last week. I pulled the cover off to change the fluids and noticed wearing on the outer edge of the gear. it only has 150 mi on it, is this normal wear? I sent pics yesterday to the place I ordered if from and have not received a response yet. also there seems to be some peeling of what I think is a coating on the inside, is that normal also. thanks

It all looks good to me. The marks on the outer edge of the gear are likely deburring after the gear teeth were machined. The "peeling' is just where the casting surface meets the machined surface.

I'm seeing two wear patterns. One near the toe of the teeth and one running past the heel. You need to put some marking compound on a few teeth to see which pattern is current. Normally the only time you grind on the outer edges of the teeth is when the pattern has run off the edge and has burrs. As the teeth wear the pattern moves outward from the toe to the heel. Once it reaches the heel the gears are worn out.
There is a considerable gap between the coils of the preload springs. Either you have excessive wear on the clutches or they were not shimmed properly when assembled.
It looks like the carrier was painted.

Thanks for the replies. I called the company I purchased it from and was told they would go through the email and take a look at the pics. Hopefully I don't get the run around treatment. I just want my car ready for the good cruising weather that should be here shortly.
