After finding out there is a problem with my new front calipers, no fluid or air will pass through them so I can't bleed them, already another thread, I thought it would be a good idea to change the rear shocks. The bolt on the lower mount was rusted onto the lower mount. Of course, I forced it and broke it off :mad . What do I do now? Install a new mount? Is that difficult to change?
The bolt on the upper mount is being difficult. I can't get it to budge. Any ideas or tips? I remember driving this car, it was a lot of fun. A lot more fun then constantly working on it. But it will be that much better when I do get it running.

If I understand you correctly, you snapped off the bolt end on the lower shock mount? - You must have REALLY cranked that nut. If so, I have some good and bad news. Good news is those mounts are readily available for approx. $45 or call Bairs and they may have a refurbished one for $25. Bad news is they can be very difficult to remove and you will have to remove the strut rods to do so. (You may want to change the bushings while you are at it). The shock mounts have to be pounded out with a big hammer. Or better yet, since yours is already ruined, you can cut it out if you have a compressor and cut-off tool. If you don't, start soaking with PB Blaster now and order a new one.
Right now only one shock mount is broken, do you have any tips for removing the other shock? I'd much rather only buy one shock mount than both of them.
Thanks,
Aaron
