Default found missing ground

i have had several screwy things wrong with the gauges dim dash lights, erratic gauges, and other things. starting as far forward as possible it didn't take long, a black wire coming out of the convoluted tubing with the green horn wire was cut . i stripped it back and found a good spot to ground it, now it seems all is well. i can't believe a ground that far off would have an effect. now i will look closer there has to be a reason that helped.

I'm not sure what you found, but the forward lamp harness on C3s has a factory ground out by the head lights which screws to the radiator support. The AIMs show it. Dash harnesses ground on the driver's hinge post.

yes, i was aware of both of those , the harness for the headlights and the horn are all bundled into convoluted plastic . where the green wire comes out for the horn there is a black ground wire. that is what was not connected. it shows it in a book i have in the schematic. it looks like someone was in there and tore it free.it definitely has helped. now i need to check else where just in case
