'68 Brake Light Switch
This topic has appeared before. The '68 brake light switch is unique to later year shark bodies, although not sure if similar or the same as that in the C2's.
The brake lights will stay on unless you physically move back the brake pedal. In my case there is no further switch adjustment, so to correctly fix, the switch would have to be removed and further elongate the two slots in the switch's bracket.
Have observed that some '68 owners converted to the later simpler design switch.
For better or for worse, it's just another componet that makes this model year unique

Thanks for the response.
The pedal returns fine, by pulling back on it, there's an extra .010 thousand or so to just turn off the brake lights. Done a temporary jerry-rigged fix to get by for the present.
On another subject, the wife grabbed the door handle on the pass door and the spring broke, forutunately have the originals door handle that were removed when the car refinished, (back in '75). Can't say these cars done have character.
