Check fuseable link at the starter wire harness. A burned fuseable link wires will stretch like a rubber band and will have a burnt appearance.

is that the like 1" long round pc of plastic the wire runs through? if so, I hav about 3/4" bare hot wire showing now, but just looks like the plastic is burnt off? would that cause nothing at all to work? no lights, blower interior nothig works?
thanks

next question,
Now that I cut out the fuse link what the best way to repair it? should I put an in line 20 -30 amp fuse? or whatdo you think? I went ahead and put the header on and it sits an 1" or little less from my starter..Last set up I had like this ws a 70 chevy truck and when the starter got hot I had wait 1 min. or so before it would start again..I'm thinking I need to also wrap this one withthe reflective aluminum tape or is there something better out there?
Thats for the input and advise guys??

Spec

Fuseable link wire is available from most parts stores just soldier it in place, do not use crimp type connectors
