When you shut the ignition off (1977) there's one short "beep" before you remove the key...anyone know what the beep is for? We went racing this weekend, my daughter said she couldn't get the "beep" to shut off untill the engine started (the beep noise started as soon as she turned the key to on...she turned the key off but the beep remained steady). I tried to duplicate the situation but naturally it wouldn't do it for me. Deen
I'll check that out. We have eliminated the stock belts and run 5-point competition harnesess. Normally warning buzzers/bells, etc. last longer than one short beep or tone, that's why I was wondering...
I'll tell my daughter what you said about using the belts, but on second thought she'll then ask me about the brakes. For years I've been telling both daughters that the idea of drag racing is getting from the starting line to the finish line in the fastest way possible...they don't give out tropheys/cash for those that STOP the fastest :jester
