Wow 368 ft-lbs from 333 inches. Gonn'a be a great driver. Gott'a love those 327's. Still plenty out there. With steeper rear gearing that motor would handle a lot more cam too. I'll bet the owner is happy now.
BTW thx for the carb work for that numbers matching '69 qjet - that one took a lot of patience from u. Haven't heard from new owner since he got it but i think he got a great deal with a numbers match qjet rebuit and tuned by lars - he got the best deal on the planet in my book.
I enjoyed reading the part about the last builder. When you think you've seen it all then you take one apart and see things like that. Then ask yourself, what were they thinking?
I like the 327. I was thinking of building one similar to your build for my 78, just for a change. Then decided to sell the 78.
I liked the 302 in the Z28s also, but driving around at the rpms you needed to have much power would get a little annoying.
