Default Dyno predictions

Ok, i've been inspired by Redwhitekat's dyno session. And by posting this it'll get me to the dyno quicker

Have a guess at my RWHP or crank HP then....

'71 vette

10-1 K/B hyper pistons
Edelbrock RPM heads, cam, Air-Gap and 750 vac-sec ( hyd flat tap)
Fully lightened and balanced
Ram ali flywheel (15lbs)
1.5 roller rockers
Pertronix 2 ignition and coil
Electric fan
No air con

Tremec 600RR 5-speed

3.55 gears

Peak power feels around 6200rpm

I've been on the dyno before but the dizzy was playing up so we didn't get a good reading, this has been replaced with a pertronix setup.

I then went on the dyno again but the car was popping at higher revs so didn't get a reading there.

We then found the problem with the car, silicon in the fuel tank ( lots of it) and a ripped filter sock, this had clogged the whole fuel system with silicon and at the same time we cut out the factory ballast resistor and she runs like a trooper now

I now have a wide band lambda sensor fitted so I can tune the 'in car'

The car feels very strong on the road

So then, any guesses?

I would say 425 at flywheel and you only list a few parts so guessing is even more a guess

Your not pulling the motor so I assume your testing RWHP. I guess 272.

I knew I'd missed something out!

355 SBC, hooker sidepipes with the glass packs, not the more restrictive wool packs.

Yep i'm going on a rolling road

I purchased Dynolicious Fusion for my iPhone 5 and also a sturdy mount, I plan on testing it out on my vette.

I'm sure you'll see an improvement on your next dyno session. I'll guess about 350 at the wheels.

265RWHP since I have no idea what the motor is. It's not that easy to 300RWHP out of a street driven 350ci engine

300 rear wheel hp is hard to reach with that combo.. I would guess 265 RWHP without knowing more about the motor...

My AFR headed Roller cammed L82 made 260 rwhp at 4500 rpm....SO id guess your is likely a smidge less. Id guess >closes eyes< 300rwhp @6500 rpm.

Will you share a dyno run and put our guesses to shame?

260 is what I made with edlbrock performers and comp cams xe262h with the action plus intake and 1.6 roller tip rockers. The dyno numbers could happy on my end as there's only one up here in alaska. I'd figure that yours would be 300 rwhp easy. I'd also figure that the 420 hp at the crank that edlbrock claims for the op's top end would make 307 being a little over 25% loss. The rpm top end kit uses a larger cam shaft to compensate for **** poor head flow to make the same power range.

I reckon about 280RWHP, the short block was built by a local company that machines aero engines, they know their stuff

I put the rest together

Yeah, i'm not sure where Edelbrock gets 420hp from??

What does a stock '02 Z put out? As I raced one and he wasn't getting away from me.
