The biggest thing that I would be concerned with if you want to boost the output later is that the ZZ4 has a Steel Crank and the HO's is Cast. The HO also lack the intake. ZZ4 heads are aluminum HO's Cast. There are a lot of differances between the two its just a matter of what you want. I recommend the ZZ4 highly even if you keep it in stock form the torque and HP will keep a big :D :D on your face for a long time.

383's are fun in a C3...Is it just me or is complete turn key engine places seem to be springing up more lately? I've been seeing them more than the crate motor places and the prices are about the same or cheaper than the dealer prices for the same thing, just that it's ready to be dropped in instead of having to swap stuff. Anybody had any experiences buying an engine from one of these turnkey motor places? Just curious is all, really don't need an engine.
