A/C delete help!
I would like to remove the a/c components from my 77 L-48.
It seems pretty straight forward, but I see hoses going in to the rad that I'm not sure what to do with.
I guess I'm asking for some help and tips from anyone who has done this.
Thank you so much
J
If your car is an automatic, then there should be 2 cooling lines, that run from the trans, into and out of the right side radiator tank. These have nothing to do with the AC system, and should be left alone.
Are you referring to the 2 hoses that go through the radiator core support, on the right? If so, they are the fluid lines, that go to the condenser. The condenser is mounted in front of the radiator. Once you've removed the rest of the AC system, there's no reason not to remove these lines and the condenser.

Did that on my 77.
Try to remove the lines where they connect. Chances are they'll be frozen. My were, so I cut them. They were probably leaking somewhere anyway. I was able to get my condenser out without removing the hood. You may not be so lucky. Get the dryer out too.
I removed the coil during a body off, and installed a cover from acdelete.
