Q-Jet leaks.

Q-Jet leaks.
I have just had my Q-jet rebuilt,& notice that the top gasket below the air horn plate is wet with fuel all the time,when I phoned them about it they said that this was normal for rochester Q-jets.Apparently fuel sprays out through the pump shaft,& wets around the top gasket.
Is this normal or should I send it back,& get them to fix it?

The carb SHOULD NOT leak or be wet around the air horn. The float might be stuck or the needle may not be seating correctly. I just rebuilt mine and it is dry as a bone. Send it back and don't take no for an answer. :eek:
