In the front of my 1980 there is a piece of metal that hangs down and if i go over a low spot it drags and protects the front bumper. It also has a hook on it that is attached to the lower spoiler to keep it from blowing down when you are on the highway at speed.
Well... the hook broke off and i was trying to replace it. I can't figure out what it is called. I am tempted to just weld on a homemade hook and call it good, but i would like to do it right. What is it called and where can i buy one? anyone know?
Agreed. I looked everywhere for a replacement hook and came up empty. Weld on a new one but get a picture of what the original looked like and its dimensions. Too short and the air dam will fall off the hook upon minor impact.
All you actually need is the tongue. It keeps high volume air pressure from distorting the valance panel. I believe both of these pics were posted here.
