Did you look in the hole for that PCV valve? If you see rocker arms, you don't have an oil baffle under it and it will suck any oil spashed up to the valve. If you do have a baffle under that hole, that's not your problem.
From the looks of your first picture I beleave I see the bottom of the baffle inside the valve cover. That sure does not look like the head. Shine a light inside the hole and look inside you should just see a boxed in area and no rocker arms.
There is no mesh it is just a boxed in area that stops the oil splash from being sucked into the PCV. It looks like the ripple in the bottom of the box in your top picture.

I found a very small hole in my front timing cover last night after I took the car out for a 15-20 mile ride. I put the car on stands let it run and actually had a drop hit me in the eye.lol I found that one but the bottom of the car needs a bath
Mine is new had to tighten a few bolts a bit more but no leaks I do think my front cover is leaking just gotta find a very small 3 /8 socket rachet to tighten then down
I would take care of that before the fuel pump area. It might save you some time and effort. The oil blew up on top of the fuel pump and all down that side last night. It must be from the rotation of the fan
Oil baffle in the valve cover is just metal shroud that is attached to the underside of the cover. It allows airflow to get to the PCV valve, but blocks oil splash from reaching the bottom of it.
You might go to an auto parts store and look at some valve covers they have for sale. Not sure how you would attach one to yours now. Most are welded to the underside of the cover. I thought all the Corvette covers had them, but I've heard of this being a problem on several threads.
My Vette is a skilled magician! In 147 miles it just scored 0,6-07 l of oil with not even a puff of smoke. That is some 4 litres on 1000 miles. No leaking under or above, rebuilt engine 2014 (588 stroker - bored 0.60 over), has some 6000 miles on it. It's been like that ever since I bought the car, this is the first time I did the check after P.C.V. valve system repaired, and WOW. How is this possible? before before after after
