I'm having a universal X pipe kit from summit installed probably next week, but I do have a BTO removable cross member. Mostly to tone down the exhaust and hopefully resolve the drone at highway speeds. Corvette central 2.5 tru dual with hide away mufflers. It's way too loud and draws too much attention of the three huggers over here

Not going to debate it but I can say this run your car down the 1/4 with no H put an H on and tell me what happens. 
Could there be something + or - on a dyno depending on your combo maybe but like I said youll probably never feel it. More for sound than anything.

You will notice an improvment with an H or X in everyday sporty type driving. Maybe not in a single boring drag race at WOT. These are not for sound, but rather for boosting bottom end torque through the mid range. WOT no. Heck we even use a version of a H pipe in marine applications. Again, this is to boost bottom end and mid range performance. So, if you like to drive your Vette with a "sporty" attitude YES go ahead with the H or X pipes. If you prefer to only drag race your car then waist of money. Really, were these cars ever intended for the drag strip? I don't think so. Al
