Re: who has the fatest c3 here (1976stingrayonjuice)
nice combo, gald to see a C3 running those times....
my question: can it still be considered a C3 with a solid axle? anyone have any comments/opnions on that?
i'd like to see someone post a timeslip like that with the IRS.
i'm building up a 383 now, and have some other mods that i'm working on, but if i don't hit my goal-- it might be time to shoe-horn my other block in there-- olds 455.

Hey - you were asking for the FATEST not FASTEST Corvette in your title!!!

I think that I have one of the "FATEST" Corvettes on the Forum. My 80' Duntov's body is close to a foot wider than regular Vettes.... However - I know that's not what you meant!!!
This thread cracks me up! 45ACP says I can't play, so I won't. Yet...
Word games:
...if you even think of coming to play, it would be an act of war. :)
You've got a tool of mass destruction.
-Steve(Yeah, that's a compliment. :jester )
P.S. My car IS operational & although I don't feel too comfortable driving it yet - I could certainly take it out. I don't think it would qualify for "amongst the slowest" either. :smash:

Thats kinda like when the Emperor let Luke know the Deathstar was operational. :D
I just hope it doesnt come to the same conclusion. :jester
I dunno, man, maybe it's time you broke some land-speed records. Take it down to the South Bay and take me for a spin! I wanna know what it's like to go back in time. Think you could possibly rear-end yourself? :)

Steve – An interesting concept!! I’d sure like to give it a try. It sure should feel like we're breaking the speed of sound out there. I look forward to having Gkull out on the first run so he can show me the ropes! George is a great guy as is Norval, Monty & the rest of the fast crew. This isn't about any competitions. Just some crazy Vette guys having fun.
For once, it would be nice to build something though without the naysayers being armed & ready to tear you down. I guess I just hate negative people. I think we all realize without being told that my car isn’t “physically” the fastest car in anything yet except maybe $0-$200K. I don’t need to be reminded that it’s not ready yet – that thought keeps me up at nights. Kind of makes me want to take a drive to Maine when I’m done but I’ve learned to just let these things go. The car is being built for me to have fun. If we break any records, great. If not, that’s fine too.
1976stingrayonjuice – if you are truly running a 10.73, even if it’s on slicks – that an awesome time & you should be proud of!!
MJ, I used to run a 4.56 gear in a 10 second BB Chevelle. That thing was screaming out the other end and I was running a 31 inch tire. If this guy is is running a 28 or 29 inch tire, I can't imagine. Might see fireworks soon.
Re: who has the fatest c3 here (1976stingrayonjuice)
I ran 10.50's in my daily driver and have lightened it up enough to drop a few tenths on the motor, but haven't run it again with boost. (Track officials aren't impressed by mid 10's and no cage/bar.) I did rip off a mild nitrous pass(150) last fall, but it spun and only pulled a 1.50 sixty foot :) and turned a 10.78.

Yeah, when Merlin's Monster gets on the road, we're all in trouble. That includes, Vipers, Porsches, Ferraris, Lambos, Bikes, Helicopters, Planes ... etc. What are you shooting for, a 10 second mile? :yesnod:  :yesnod:
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
