Re: who has the fatest c3 here (1976stingrayonjuice)
1976stingrayonjuice: Are you running the stock rear end with those drag radials!? I'm also curious to know if you have forged internals with all that nitrous? (Rods/pistons/etc.)
Re: who has the fatest c3 here (1976stingrayonjuice)
all the pistons rods ect are all forged the strings are titanium as well as the roller rockers the rear end is a 12 bolt and the trans is a beefed up th400 the rpm well it is up there around 7000 im gonna blow this engine someday but im thinking of biulding something around a 440-470cu bb when this engine goes
Drags....easy those lucky guys with 1500 hp or some such, and a tanker truck following them to the grocery store....
SCCA type sports cars.....corner like crazy, no air conditioning or other creature comforts....stripped to the bone...acid dipped frames....
all around performance??? well,
I'm sure there are a LOT of cars out there better performing than I am in an all around measurement list....
but for a street driven by wifey-poo commuter vette, mine ain't all that bad...
about 375 hp, 700r4 tranny, DPFI closed loop, headers, 336 rear, wide tires/rims, R/Pinion steering, etc...certainly not the fastest in any catagory, and many all around cars in this sort of class can beat it across the board most likely....but as an all around street driver, and fun car....I have my moments...
Re: who has the fatest c3 here (1976stingrayonjuice)
I'm not sure i agree with Nitrous,i'd rather compare engine to engine to look at the real skill of the engine builder......i have done top speed of 136mph but that was after 850 meters not 400,my 74R takes a while to wind up with a 3.08 and 700R4......the only time it has been down a drag strip it was having carbie and traction problems and only ran high 13s.....it will probably run low 13s/high 12s with street exhausts and tires...i'm pretty happy with that...john :chevy
