Default 1970 Vacuum question

Getting ready to remove the vacuum set up for my head lights and windshield wiper door due to low vacuum from the motor. Just curious, is there anything else the vacuum operates on the 1970? I believe that on my wife's 1982 it also operates some of the heater/air condoner controls. If not, then I can remove all the vacuum and not have to trace anything out. Thanks for any help.

Ok, thanks. Hopefully I will have enough vacuum to run that.

Why not just add a vacuum pump instead?

Hi,
On 1970 cars there is a very small rubber vacuum line that runs off a 'tee' in the large vacuum supply line for the wiper door and passes through the firewall on it's way to the heater/defroster controller. Another line continues down the transmission tunnel, across the seat bulkhead on it's way to the controller for the astro vent doors
In 71 the tee is very near the right side hood latch... not sure just where it is in 70.
How are you going to operate your lights and wipers?
Regards,
Alan

No air conditioning. I am using electric motors for the headlights (Mazda Miata) and am using a long L88 hood to eliminate the wiper door.

You say no air con but was it formerly an air con car? What about heater valve water control? Also vacuum operated door that directs air under the dash from heater.

No it was not a factory air car. That was my question, what all was controlled by vacuum. I guess I will leave the vacuum to the interior and see if I have enough to operate the climate control system. What are the guys doing that are using LS motors doing?

So except for the climate controls, I guess I've got it covered. I will leave those in tack and see if I have enough vacuum to operate them.
Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

Are you doing it due to low motor vacuum also? if so what are you running for a motor?
