Default Trailing arm weight (shipping issue)

Hi gang.

Quickie question.
I'm looking into shipping my 1978's trailing arms to get rebuilt. Issue is the core charge. If I ship mine they'll exchange mine for rebuilt ones or rebuild my own and ship them back. I'm happy either way.

Issue is I'm and shipping costs can be prohibitive in some cases.

So what I'm looking for is if anybody has a set og t/a's laying around I'd like to know the weight of the arm and bearing housing, no rotor or dust shield if at all possible.

Thanks in advance.

Without the rotor they run 45-50 lbs, depends on packaging. Are you close to the border? I have a lot of customers who will pop across the border to do their shipping, it's much more economical. If not, you can always go through the postal service.

I had sent some axle stub shafts back for the core charge from Canada to the US. I went through Canada Post. The core charge/refund was $50.00 dollars. The postage was $22.00.

No getting around moving 'freight' for a reduced price. The well known carriers would be unbelievably expensive. I found Canada Post and USPS the most reasonable however they likely have a weight limit.

Let us know how you made out with this.

Exactly my issue. Core charge vs shipping costs.
