If your '70 convertible was originally fitted for the hardtop, then you want to look for '70 and up, as the '68 and '69 hardtops won't have the center bolt attachment. Personally I would hunt for '70 through '72 year hardtops.

Thanks for the information. My 70 was not originally fitted for the hard top. No hole in the center. The seller is pretty sure it's 68/69. I bought it 'cause it was cheap and close. If it fits I will try my hand at bringing it back to life unless someone in Southern California is ready to sell me a cherry condition black vinyl covered hardtop. I have work to do. Plenty of searches to do on this subject and no doubt "new" questions to ask. Thanks for your help.
