Strait from edelbrocks own catalog, cam 2102 that comes in the 2022 power package. Cam 2102, 50 state legal combined with the 2701 manifold ( also in kit ) and there cylinder heads. Edelbrock says 320 hp with 389 lb ft of torque. cam has a whopping lol .420 intake valve lift with .204 at .050 intake duration. On top of this with the 2701 eps manifold its only square flange. You now need another carb, more money for a 320 hp engine. Yep that cam helps pass the california enviromentalist ****'s test but it will hold your engine way the hell back.

If you don't have the top end kit and you want edelbrock heads i would suggest you use the 2101 performer manifold that allows your q-jet if you want to retain your stock air cleaner and don't even consider that joke of a cam, look at lunati's vodoo series of cams.

But even if you want a new carb don't use that cam your just cutting your own throat with it.

ok so here it is.

edelbrock e-street- 64cc heads
performer eps manifold
comp cams 462-469 218* 224*
comp cams high energy rocker arms
performer 600 carb
water pump, fuel pump aluminum radiator and all that will follow.

should I use a 2000 stall, thats what comp cams recommended.

Those parts should play real well together
2000 stall will work a 24-2500 would wake it up and drive like stock still manner wise. Little funner when you hit the pedal on the right too.

Is that the old high energy cam or the XE?

on the 2500, ajthrom that has a lot of experience with stall converters will also tell you of the more reasonably priced converters the hughes brand, summit sells them. Most people seem to buy a 1406 edelbrock 600 without paying attention its an economy carb nice way of saying jetted more lean non performance. Glad to see the edelbrock cam went out the picture.

The only difference in the... calibrated for fuel economy... 600 is the .098 primary jet the manual choke 1405... calibrated for performance... uses a .100 primary jet. The only real mistake you were going to do originally was using that miserable edlebrock cam. You could use an inexpensive 670 avenger or the edelbrock carb.

I would have sent the Q- jet to lars let him do his magic on it but you are using a square flange manifold and seem to want a new carb. Of the two new carbs i would do the avenger but maybe im biased torward holley.
