I spliced one of mine using a plastic tube from a spray bottle and super glue. Works good but there will always be some light loss with any splice. I also replaced one cable with a piece of optic from an older (eraly 80's through early 90's) Caddillac. Larger cads have a nice piece running from the taillight to the rear window. Eldos and Sevilles have a piece running from the opera lights into the trunk area. Newer models have the optics incorporated into the harness so you need an older one.

Someone used fishing line I remember last year, I just replaced my fronts this spring and they still don't work right, what a waste of time that system, if I could get thaty engineer and the wiper door guy in a dark room for only 5 min.'s............ :jester
