Anybody ever use these guys to purchase a carb from? Noticed a few threads on other forums where guys had bought from them but no follow-up on how they performed.
That's probably what makes this forum the best. For the most part you get decent answers, participation and follow-up on most of the threads.
Yes, I do know about Lars and a few of the others for rebuilding, but as I was getting answers from Lars, I checked the numbers on my carb and it wasn't even the right one. LOL
Lars could still put a serious whammy on your carb and make it work better than he original. O'd recommend that before spending a pile on an aftermarket carb that you don't really want or need.

Had a VERY bad experience with these clowns. Bought a Q-Jet for my 69 Vette. Wouldn't idle so I sent it back. Took 6 months to get it, and it was so screwed up the shop restoring my car said to send it back again. I took it to a local rebuilder, who took one look at it and said the car would never run with this carb. A few of the items include: wrong linkage, metering rods jammed into the jets so they wouldn't work, corrosion, dirt, and the worst thing was a huge nick in the threads for the filter - so deep that a gasket wouldn't seal it and helicoil wouldn't fix it either. My advice - stay FAR, FAR away from them.
