78 Tachometer issues

78 Tachometer issues
Just recently pulled my 78 out of storage and found that the tachometer doesn't work. The needle jumps slightly when I turn key on but other than that nothing. Do I need to put a tach circuit board in it? Any ideas?

Could be the brown tach wire is loose from the distributor or maybe the tach filter on the manifold is bad. You can bypass the tach filter and plug the wire directly into the dist to test it.
