My struts have been on for years, set at camber adjustment once and never touched since and the car gets driven year round.

Noonie, you quoted me so I am left confused. Are you trying to imply that I argued against heim jointed rods because of torsional forces?

Not at all
I just wanted clearify that heim joints direct NO measurable "torsional loads to the strut end"

Okey, I was wondering if my english failed me again I like heim joints, in fact I made my first strut rod set with heims in ~1990. I was just playing with them and wondering where the torsional force come into play from as the sleeve in them can freely twist/rotate in all directions. Only at compression/tension they are rigid.

But, I also remembered I crashed mildly my 100cc Super A go-kart 20+ years ago when one of my steering strut rods became loose in mid turn letting toe in go wild. So, again I think is a good idea to check them couple of times during the first year.
