Default '80 C3 Fuse box??

Okay, so this is my very first post on this GREAT forum!
I'm glad I can finally be amongst fellow 'vette lovers!
So since I've gotten myself an 1980 'vette that's a little
bit of a project due to previous misuse, or say "prior ownership abuse".
I thought I'd swing by the coolest forum EVER...for a question, or a zillion!
My first question is about my fuse box.The fuse box just doesn't seem
right. I looked at diagrams on the web and they don't match
my box in my '80. I have a couple of pictures that may help. I'm just wondering
if everything looks like it's supposed to be. So far I've had dash lights half out, no radio, gauges don't work (except gas), and cigarette lighter doesn't work to name a few. Any suggestions are appreciated!!! P.S. I have no idea how to post pictures.

The second picture is a wire of some sort that seems to be
unplugged...but I haven't a clue where it belongs.

If memory serves, your owner's manual has a pic of the fuse box. Have you purchased the 80 assembly instruction manual (AIM)? The AIM shows the fuse box installation, along with a thousand other things you are going to want to know.

Congrats on the 80.

I may have the Manual but I don't have the AIM...sounds like I may
need to buy one soon! Thanks Mike!

Yes I have a couple of those, I was having a difficult time
working on my fuse box using the diagram as a reference.
One thing that was throwing me off was the area where there's
supposed to be a circular hazard flasher there isn't one??

this thread has the same box http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...-question.html

Cannt tell from your picture, are there electrical contacts in the upper left of the box where the flasher would sit? Do they work? This kit shows two flashers also.

I'm not sure, I'm going to have to find out! Sooo do all the other
parts of the fuse box look copacetic? Or are all of the empty
slots supposed to be filled with fuses?

1982 cross fire fuse box, only Vette that has 2 injectors and an ecm fuse receptacles...Actually the 1984 Vette was also crossfirw, but it has about 10 more various fuse for all the relays....
