Does it matter which wire goes where? And if you reverse the wires by mistake is the filter damaged?

Usually the plugs on cars are designed to only fit one way. If they fit either way then direction probably doesn't matter.

Thanks.I put the connectors that came with it on myself.After installing it I found the directions.Got the wires reversed.
