Here's a good tip for Qjets: First make sure the dist. vac advance is getting enough vacumn.
This will mess up a Qjets warmup, idle and part throttle response big time. Easiest thing is tap it into the intake manifold instead of some nipple on the carb. Then adjust your idle andmixes. That fixes a lot of Qjet complaints. The other of course is to get the secondary doors opening smoothly with the little adjust adjustment screw-amazing how many people try to run Qjets with weak vacumn advance and over tight secondary air door.
