A/C Plenum Flap Hose Routing
I'm installing factory A/C in my 69' Coupe and I am trying to figure out where to put the 9/16-ish sized hole in the firewall (going into the wiper area) so I can properly route the green striped hose for the plenum flap control.
My AIM shows the hole should be WAY over on the passenger side, just inside of where the hood latch is. The vacuum harnesses I have (I have several) all have the grommet on the hose placed about 7 1/2" from the large grommet where the harness passes through the firewall.
There is no way I can stretch the hose over to where AIM is indicating and have the grommet in the location of the hole. I will need to put the hole somewhere closer to the center line of the firewall (somewhere between where the harness comes through the firewall and where the wiper door actuator is mounted).
Any pictures or advice would be most appreciated.
Thank you!
Elm
The routing on my 69' is totally different.
The top hole, where you have your hose is where my wiring comes through (yours appears to have been changed at some point because the factory normally wouldn't run electric and vacuum lines through the same grommet hole, they would be separated by different holes or a multi-holed grommet) and the bottom hole on mine is much larger and has the 3 hoses coming through for the wiper door vacuum switch.
The search continues..
Thanks!
Elm
