Default What a PITA!

:yesnod:

Finally, got the pleasure of having to replace the heater hoses on my 78 vette. It looks like every hose was replaced except one. The one that was 25 years old was the heater hose from the heater control valve to the heater core.

What a PITA! :mad :mad and those factory clamps. Also while, I was at it, I replaced the heater control valve. The original was corroded, Replacement is plastic. And of course, all after market hose clamps.

Now maybe good for another 25 years?

BTW, I allways use a thin coat of RTV in hose fittings to allow easy release and stop all leakage...comes off like a charm next time...

Thanks for the tip! The RTV on the lines seems to work on the short term.

Replaced heater hoses and radiator hoses, and had to remove them to replace radiator.

Now, It's at least a Radiator (see new thread http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=327595)
