As stated in earlier threads, my engine isn't stock and I have no way of reaching previous owner to determine what exact car it came out of. The block is a 3970010 and the suffix is V0921C, which to the best of my searching has turned up Flint, 11/21. The C code looks to be from 1957/1958/1960.
Having great success with doing all my own work I want to replace my leaking rear main seal. I've had it confirmed to be the seal from a few mechanics. My worry is that once I pop the cap off I will find that the seal I order won't work and ill have ruined the already sketchy seal.
Shouldn't be any issue finding a seal. That looks like a normal 350 block that was used forever in everything. Part stores will have seal..nothing special.
