Vapour lock happens at the fuel pump or upstream, not downstream near heater hoses or headers etc.

Your problem sounds more like ignition, possibly the coil.

My fuel lines run upstream from the mechanical pump, past the radiator & heater hoses and along the intake to the aluminum dual feed fuel line.
Unless you mean upstream as flow from tank to pump & downstream as pump to carb?
I just went out to the garage & it started right up and idled it for 5 min or so with no issues. Inline mech. fuel gauge showed 8.5 psi.

Default Fuel pump

Went for ride in car staring not idling open hood and looked fuel pressure gauge near carb showing no pressure. Runs down road ok but just didn't want to idle. I increased idle on carb. Edelbrock 1406 carb brand new. Any suggestions
When it idling it would surge rev up a little.
