Default steeroids/tierod length

Putting steeroids on my 75 vert My question that I can't seem to get an answer to is this.
After centering the rack as per instructions (5 times) and putting the rack on the car(5times)
.When I put the tie rods that are exactly the same length in place I have a difference of about 1/4' to 3/8" difference in the length of the drivers side vs the passenger side the passenger side is right on but the drivers side is to long to match up with the bolt hole Wheels are straight no obstructions travel left to right is the prescribed steeroids 6.25"What am I missing????
This measurement is actually supposed to be 6.1 not 6.25 sorry for the typo.

That's why they're adjustable.
