Default muffler recommendation

I have an unknown muffler that came off a donor car and used those since they were good.

However they do not seem to control sound to much. I'm having difficulty listening to the radio, although the M22 plays a role as well I guess.

What is a good muffler that keeps decibels at pace and doesn't induce to much backpressure ? (i'm at 2.25" pipes)

This is an age old debate, I personally prefer Flowmasters, they have many different sounds from loud to quiet. there 50 series sound good without being overbearing

I would say Magnaflow would be good for you. They aren't very loud and flow very well

Dynomax Super Turbo,..nice deep mellow muscle car tone. Much more mellow than a Flowmaster.

Put in some sort of balance pipe when you are done. An X pipe is best, an H pipe is often good enough. Definitely quiets things down at highway speeds.

Walkers or cheapo muffler shop turbos. And drill a small drain hole at the lowest point.

Here's a link to a sound and dyno test of some popular mufflers.

I went for Hooker Aerochambers and the sounds great.

Why so small?
As much time, money, & thought as you put into that engine, it seems a shame to choke it.
