About 6 months ago I bought a 76 L-48 vettef for 3500$. I been trying to fix it I didn’t work to much on it because of school but its summer and I want to finish it soon. I finished a bunch of problems but still a lot left. Here is my current problem my left turn signal doesn’t blink and the right one blink slow and when I turn on the head lights it gets even slower. All the bulbs are okay from what I know, what could be the problem? And along with that problem I’m not sure how the lights should work. When I turn on the turn signals should the front and rear side markers also blink? Which is the control wire for the turn signals? My heater isn’t working along with the AC no compressor for the AC, dose any one know how to make your heater work independently from the AC. Also dose any one know any company that makes after market steering hubs for a none telescopic colum ? Last question is on this cite how do I insert pix of my car into my profile the help option on this site isn’t any good. here are some pic's http://www.imageevent.com/aznbooster/corvette

With the blinker slowdown sounds like batery is low check alternator. No I dont think side markers blink. As for the blinker not working Could be a bad ground.

Re: Need some help with my first corvette (76StingRayL-48)
On my 79 the front side markers flash with the turn signals. The rears do not. The slow flashing might be a ground problem. The ground for the rear lights is at the end of the left frame rail. The ground for the front turn signals is at the bottom of the radiator core support. A bad ground at either end can cause slow flashing. The wires for the side marker lamps come from the turn signal sockets.
When you say your heater isn't working, can you claify that? The blower doesn't work? The blower works but no air out the outlets?
I tried linking to your site and your site won't allow it. You will have to host them somewhere else to post them here. i put one picture on my sight to get it to work.

Thanx for the info on the lights and about the site, my heater dosent work. nothing happens when i turn the swich on. I havent investegated the problem that much but the AC commpresor is gone and i think some other stuff.
Re: Need some help with my first corvette (76StingRayL-48)
The blower will work if the compressor is on of not.
There are five basic parts to the blowers circuit.
The blower switch
The heater control
The resistor block (controls all speeds except high)
The high blower relay (controls high only)
The blower motor
The first (and easiest) thing to check if if you have voltage at the blower motor. With the key on and the heater control in any position but off, use a test light to see if you have any voltage at the purple wire that plug into the blower motor. Check it on each fan speed.
