Default Headlight Assembly

Can anyone let me know if there are differences between the 1977 headlight assembly application and a 1972 application? I have found so far that the inside brackets closest to the nose are shorter on the 77 application. Is this correct or did I install incorrectly? For clarity, I have 1977 headlight assys and I am wanting to use them on a 1972 frontend...is this doable? Thanks....

The support brackets are significantly different because of the bumper and front end shape. Everything else is the same.

Cool...thanks for the reply all. Just as I thought...so before I hit the Internet...would these support brackets be available or would I have to get the entire assy? Thoughts?

Hi l,
The supports are available from various vendors, and you may also find them used too.
Not inexpensive!
