The clutch on my '75 4spd is toast and I've been wanting to put a crate in to replace my original l-48 with ~80k miles. I'm going to have both done at once. I was originally planning to do the clutch first myself and drive it until the motor dies, but I broke my hand earlier in the season and at this rate I'll never get it done on my own.
I am planning on a ZZ4 but I see the Fast Burn and ZZ383 are highly recommended also, though not sure they will match my headers well. I don't want to have to replace the transmission or diff any time soon if I can avoid it so I assume I'm limited to ~400hp based on what I've read.
why limited to 400 h.p ? if you are concerned about the rear , the L-88 and LS-6 corvettes used essentially the same rear you have both were waaaay over 400 h.p.
