I know this is not performance related but I consider this my build thread and this is part of my "build"
My MrMike's seat covers came in today and I decided to tackle one of them. Not too bad and the other should go pretty fast I think!
I opted for the real leather seating surface with the C3 logo embroidered in the back rest. I like the look and think they will look great in the car! A few wrinkles that I hope will work out but even so, they look good to me!
This is what I started with
Ignore that footprint.....

They are pretty comfortable! In fact, last weekend I was done messing around in the garage and as it was a pretty nice afternoon I plopped down in one of the seats. Well after 5 or so minutes I reclined the seat back and was half asleep!
The MrMike's kit is really really excellent! Not only are the seat covers great quality but the thought that goes into the entire package is outstanding! From including the necessary spray glue to small things like 5 or 6 razor blades.... Just things you don't normally get when ordering something like this! I really like the way the seats turned out!

I'll have to check and let you know what was finally used. I do know that it was done with a spray can as a gun was a bit to cumbersome to get in some of the tight areas.

One more seat done!
Turned out a little better than the first. I think I can go back and tweak the first seat to make it just a little tighter.....if I really care enough....
Still super happy with the way the seats turned out! Can't wait to see them in the car!

They smooth out the more you sit in them and stretch the material. I am going to mount mine directly to the floor without slides. They sit up to high with the t tops in.

Few more things hung on the firewall. Slowly but surely making progress.
He put the Vintage air box in place to see how it would fit. I wasn't around but heard that the template was not all that great. Dynomat is going on all newly exposed areas.
Picture doesn't show much but here it is none-the-less

It has been a while since I made any updates but things should be moving forward rather
quickly now!
Nothing LS related but more of the prep work. Worked over the weekend to get the front suspension all prepped, painted and installed. Not sure there will be time to touch the rear before the motor swap begins but it will all get addressed in due time.
Interior still going together but is currently largely apart.
I know the spring is on the wrong side of the control arms. It was just put there to keep out of the way
Gauges are going together so that the interior can begin going back in!
She is getting there! Hopefully by next week it will be rolling around and can be transferred to the speed shop to begin the motor transplant!!
