Default Supercharger setup with SRIII frame

I spent the day chatting with engine shops like Texas Speed, Virginia Speed and a few others.

I am in search of designing the best LS based engine combo. I am looking for a streetable engine which is fairly powerful (600rwhp) which is why I like the forced induction route.

Has anyone adapted a procharger or other centrifugal head unit S/C to their LS with an after market chassis? I am thinking it may be difficult based on the lack of room up front, especially with AC.

I think the more common route is the Magnuson Tvs-2300 route but I am not the biggest fan of this setup.

For your hp goals an LSA motor will be the cheapest route. Once the car is done, take it to a tuning shop and they can get the motor to 700hp pretty cheap. Twin screws are getting popular. Any LS motor with a Whipple 2.8l/4.0l will exceed your hp goals. The Edlebrock LS 416 SC crate motor would also fit the bill and be an easy install.

If 600rwhp is the goal, NA will get you there easily. With NA you wouldnt have to worry about belt slip, boost leaks, and high IATs, etc. If your set on a centri, you will need a crate engine built for boost, then have a custom shop do the blower installation. The same goes for a turbo set up.

The most popular blower motors are based off the LSX iron block. Iron block LSX and 6 bolt heads make for a very strong boosted platform. An RHS aluminum block can be used in lieu of an iron block and has 6 bolt heads. ERL is another popular vendor selling engines for boost.

Golen Engines has a nice line of ls boosted and NA motors. I like their RHS 502 NA motor and the LSX 427 with a Whipple 4l.

Ive not done this, but have been researching and the 418 stroker set up fr the prcharger should easily get you there. The lsx withe the tvs 2300 would also get ya there, would also probably have more lowend torque.
