Tranny overheating/not shifting
When i drive for long periods of time the tranny does not want to shift gears properley and the tach jumps around and dosn't shift up to the next gear at higher rpms. Is there a problem with my tranny cooler? Is it not keeping the tranny fluid temps down? Could that be to blame?

I can't remember if I just read that overheated trans fluid will "foam up" or not.
That's probably not right, but have you checked the fluid level & the look of the fluid when it's up to operating temp?
Are you sure that the fluid is making it through the cooler?

I'm not sure, besides pulling it off and checking the flow visibly.
If it were super hot to the touch (be careful), then I guess that could mean its doing its job, but its not big enough.
If it wasn't very hot at all, it could either be doing its job or could not have much fluid flowing through it.

Do you run it strictly through the trans cooler, or does it then run through the radiator too?
