Ok I understand the desire for 170 cc intake ports to preserve low end torque over the larger offerings but the Edelbrock performers have 170 cc intakes also. They also have the added benefit of aluminum for greater heat disipation which means you can use higher compression ratios and of course the weight bonus.
Am I missing something besides about $150. to $200.more. Just curious thinking about new heads also over rebuilding my 292 camel humps

Bob in my case i wanted to keep the ironheads plus I got these delivered for $659 so I'll use the difference to buy a new cam. I heard a couple people say here the Edelbrocks were good but not as good as expected- personal opinions, either would work for the motor I'm building.
