Default rain damage

about a week after i had my windshield replaced, i got a call from a friend. she had let a family member use the 70 roadster she inherited from her Dad, they had the car with the top down and while inside a restaurant it began raining hard the floor and dash were soaked. she asked if taking the carpets out were enough, i said as much as i hate to say it i would pull the windshield. she thought i was a little carried away so she took it to her uncle who has restored a few vettes. he didn't hesitate and cut the glass out and heavy surface rust was already starting. this would apply to any car but if you have a car with a solid birdcage you have to look out for it. lesson #1 don't loan out your collector car! just one more thing to watch out for

That is not what i said. Water collecting betweenthe glass and the body caused surface rust to start. It did not destroy the birdcage, however left alone and with repeated incidents it would cause damage.
