Default 1968 327 Ignition Problems

I have a 1968 Corvette with the 300 HP 327. It has had some period correct modifications (Holley carb, Mallory dual point ignition, headers)

I have a persistent problem with it misfiring. It runs fine for a few months then it begins to misfire. Just occasionally but then it quickly gets to the point that it is undriveable. It has new ignition parts but it still happens. I am at my wit's end with this. Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated.

Has anyone converted to HEI in a 68? If yes, how dificult is the conversion? Thanks.

Define "runs fine for a few months." My stock 327/300 runs fine until tune up time. Are you burning points? Points closing? Dual Point configured correctly? Plugs fouling?

Runs fine means it has lots of power, starts and idles well, etc. It has burned points in the past. Don't appear burned this time. Switched to hotter plugs because they were fouling a bit. Not sure what you mean by points configured correctly. I understand i can run a dual point with one set of points. Not sure if tha is true.

Thanks for responding. Any help would be great.
