shaking, in my seat
Hello all have an 1981 vette, I got this shake in the rear drive train,
when on the gas you feel it, get off the gas shake smooth out, you feel it right in the seat.
I balanced all four wheels,
Changed u-joints on drive shaft,
Checked out shorty's u-joints, all tight,
Rear wheel seals are good,
motor mts. good,
differential ? don't know.
Anyone else come across anything like this?

When at speed, and the car is shaking, put the trans in 'neutral' and coast at that speed and check whether vibration is about the same or much reduced. If the same, your problem is in the drivetrain after the trans. If the vibration is much better, the problem is in the engine/engine-accessories/transmission environment.
